4 channel amp to 1 dvc sub9/11/2023 ![]() This is a great buy for anyone looking for a cheap, but fantastic amp to push 1 or two subs. It will not affect the sub if its on high pass, or both low and high. The amp also comes with a subwoofer level remote, which only works if you have LOW PASS FREQ. Also, the adjusters can be turned by hand, or a flathead screwdriver. It has all the basic stuff like gain and low pass frequency, but It also has bass boost, which I personally have turned off. The design looks very sleek, and the blue ANARCHY that lights up adds the finishing touch. I was shocked by the size of the amp though, I expected it to be smaller than it was. I have it powered by 8 gauge wire and it seems to be doing just fine. I also have it mounted to the side of my sub box, where there is plenty of ventilation, and it stays plenty cool. I had a two hour drive with the sun going and the amp was warm, but not hot. On the topic of heat, ive never seen this amp get hot enough to be concerning. Im running it on the bridged connection and it is working flawlessly. It pushed the alpine perfectly without overheating or any other issues. I have it pushing my 1 alpine class E 12" sub at 500w rms for both the amp and sub and it hits HARD. I got this amp about a month ago and I have to say I am nothing but impressed so far. It is only 2 ohm stable as you can see from the specs. You should have selected the right ohm speaker for this amp in stereo mode ( 2 channel) but if you are running 2,3,4 speakers in series then you need to make sure this amp can handle the final ohm load that your speakers are asking for. It does come with a remote subwoofer level control so you can adjust the amount of bass on the fly which is nice. If you don't know how to set those.once again. Sensitivity, Level (GAIN), Bass Boost, HP, Mode and LP. The functions on the side of the amp are pretty basic. You can set the gain by ear with a test tone you can find on youtube. People buy these and crank the gain and bass boost and then complain about it being crappy sounding.Well thats because you are clipping the heck out of it. If this amp is hooked up correctly it produces a very clean bass. Make sure you get the right amp for your speakers and vise versa. When you are buying an amp or speakers just look it up and if you cant find the answer.ask in a forum. I read a lot of reviews slamming this amp and when questioned why they either don't respond or turns out they have it hooked up to the wrong speakers ( ohm's) This is 2015.you have unlimited knowledge at your fingertips. WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - The amount of power you get from this for the price is a steal. The warning is part of our ongoing effort to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as "Proposition 65"). ![]() Why do you see the warning on our packaging and website? Proposition 65 warnings can be seen for a wide variety of everyday consumer products, including electronic equipment, and warnings can be seen posted throughout California in a variety of establishments such as buildings, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. The list includes naturally occurring and man-made chemicals. There are over 800 chemicals on the Proposition 65 list, which is administered by California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), a part of the California Environmental Protection Agency. Businesses are required to provide warnings to comply with Proposition 65. Proposition 65 is not a product safety law, but rather a "right-to-know" law. Proposition 65’s warning standards are among the most stringent in the world. Proposition 65 requires warnings if a product contains any listed chemical present above very low levels. I hooked that same pyramid amp up the earlier day to a lil memphis 12, and it had it movin around a little.Proposition 65 is a California law that applies to companies selling products in California. Is my conclusion that this amp just doesn't have what it takes. I'm sure i wired it properly, i tired so way different ways thinking WTF. So its obvious not the subs fault, is it possible to have an amp that is just not strong enough to make a sub move? (only a 270rms 4 ohms, not 1 ohm stable) I cone didn't move, at all i could hear little things around my house shaking so it was doing something.īut i didn't get anything excursion AT ALL, i just assumed this is because that amp just sucks bee'z wax and couldn't even move the dam cone of the sub.?įive minutes before i hooked up a better amp (friends) and had it bumpin to that amps potential it brought it into protect mode everytime gain went up. (I hooked it up only the sub, with a 12v battery and ran the RCA from the 360 to the amp)īUT i wired it up numerous different ways and couldn't get none to work, i heard the music faintly playing in the woofer, but the beat would NEVER drop. ![]()
